Ontario PCs Saving Businesses $12 Billion Every Year

As President Trump’s tariffs continue to threaten Ontario workers and businesses, our Ontario PC team is fighting back by lowering costs, cutting red tape and building a more competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy.

Since 2018, we’ve taken action to reduce the cost of doing business in Ontario by $12 billion every year, helping businesses invest, grow and create good-paying jobs right here in Ontario.

That includes cutting the small business corporate income tax rate from 3.2 per cent to 2.2 per cent, providing $1.1 billion in tax relief and saving more than 375,000 small businesses up to $5,000 each year.

We’re also helping businesses invest in new equipment, technology and expansion by accelerating the write-off of a broad range of capital investments, providing more than $3.5 billion in income tax relief over four years.

Our plan is delivering results. Since 2018, Ontario has attracted more than $235 billion in investment and created more than one million new jobs.

While the Liberals and NDP would make it more expensive to do business with higher taxes and more red tape, our Ontario PC team is keeping costs down and creating the conditions for businesses to invest and create jobs.

In the face of U.S. tariffs and global economic uncertainty, we’ll keep doing whatever it takes to protect Ontario workers, businesses and jobs and build the most competitive economy in the G7.
